Dirty Dancing, being one of the acclaimed romantic movies in Hollywood, was released in the year 1987. The plot of the movie starts with vacationing of Frances “Baby” Houseman who is 17 years old in the summer of 1963. She belongs to a wealthy Jewish family settled at the suburbs of New York at Kellerman's. Baby gets influenced to learn Latin dance style as Johny Castle performs one night at the dance conducted in the family ballroom.
Johny Castle is typically a rebel by nature and doesn't adhere to the standards of traditionalism. He's a part of the entertainment staff in the resort and is well known for his good looks among the women in the locality. Once Baby runs into Johny's cousin and gets invited to the servant's quarters where Dirty Dancing or better known as Mambo was going on in full throttle. She got highly attracted to this outrageous art of dancing which was so different from the formal dancing style followed by her parents.

In the process of learning dancing from Johny, Baby also comes to know that Johny's partner Penny is pregnant with Robbie Gould, the proud waiter of the resort, whom even Baby's sister is dating and Baby tries to help Penny by becoming her substitute dancer for a performance to take place at Sheldrake resort. Baby also helps Penny arrange money for her illegal abortion. Unfortunately Penny's abortion is stopped and Baby's father assumes it's Johny's child. Baby and Johny are forced to keep their nurturing romance a secret but it all comes out when Johny is trapped in a case of theft.

The climax of the movie focuses on Johny's come back to the resort for the final dance with Baby. He was fired for having a relationship with a guest in the resort. The movie comes to an end with a magnificent dance scene where Johny lifts up Baby in the air.
