The entire movie describes the relationship between Holly and Paul Varjak, her neighbor and a writer yet to get proper recognition. Towards the end of the movie, Holly’s self revelation makes her look into herself and discover the real Holly in her.
In her portrayal of the character Holly Golightly as a youthful, eccentric socialite, Audrey Hepburn is simply brilliant. It is considered to be the best performance of Audrey Hepburn. In fact, she herself regards this particular role to be one of the land mark roles in her career. By nature Audrey was an introvert girl who portrayed superbly the life of a totally extrovert character, the eccentric character of Holly. This movie is also regarded as one of those movies where Peppard has given his best performance.
