The Hollywood musical movie Saturday Night Fever is a popular 1977 movie starring John Travolta who plays the role of Tony Manero who is a troubled youth in Brooklyn as his weekend enjoyments mostly feature going to the local discotheque. Annette (Donna Pescow) is an unofficial member of this group and has strong feelings for Tony who recruits her for participating in a contest with him. Tony terminates their partnership after coming across a more talented girl named Stephanie (Karen Lynn Gorney). Stephanie's job as a secretary in a magazine office in Manhattan inspired Tony to change his job profile and his class.
This movie focuses on the happenings in the lives of the people around Tony including his family members and his friends. One of the factors focused very intricately is Tony's relation with his friends Double-J and Joey who are equally dare devils like him and love to take risks on a daily basis more often in the conditions of being drunk.

This movie also reveals a different side of Tony when he gives away the first prize that he and Stephanie had won in the contest to another couple whom he considered to be more deserving. In their rage of drunkenness things seem to go haywire with Tony and his friends leading to Bobby C's death. This is the time when Tony realizes that he needs to mend a lot of things in his life and he starts by mending his terms by Stephanie which had gone wrong after he tried to forcefully assault her.
