Scream 2, the second film of Scream Trilogy was one of the popular release in 1997. The film noted for the interplay of dialogues and satirical conversations remain indelibly imprinted in the mind of the viewers.
Plot of Scream 2
The plot of Scream 2 centers round a group of college students, a news reporter and an ex-cop who became involved in a mysterious murder. The murder could be identified with the story of a horror movie, Stab, which was released just before the murder. Randy and Sidney came across the news of a murder of a couple, which took place at the preview of the movie Stab. Sidney became a victim of the murderer though was able to save herself from the clutches of the killer.
Casey Cooper became the next target. Randy was murdered in course of the story.
Officer Richards and Officer Andrews who shouldered the responsibility of protecting Sidney were put to death.
Dewey became the next victim while set to get hold of the murderer along with Gale. Soon after Hallie, another character in the story was killed. Sidney finally encountered the murderer who turned out to be the bosom friend of her new boyfriend. Mrs. Loomis, mother of Sidney's old boyfriend was also involved in the murders. Mickey kills Gale before Mrs. Loomis murders him. Mrs. Loomis instigates Cotton to murder Sidney but becomes a victim herself. Dewey, Gale and Mickey are shown to be alive in the final scenes.

Rules for Scream 2
A certain device used in Scream, the first movie of Scream Trilogy, was followed in the Scream 2 and Scream 3. In all the three Scream movie the body count increased. The scenes of murder were blood stained. Scream 2 and Scream 3 followed the concluding line of Randy in Scream which hints at the fact that the murderer returns for a last fright.
Scream 2, nevertheless received a positive critical appreciation from the critics.
