Jaws 2 is the sequel of Stephen Spielberg’s Academy Award winning film Jaws. This horror thriller movie was released in the year 1978. Jaws 2 was directed by Jeannot Szwarc. Two more sequels of Jaws were created. But Jaws 2 is considered as the best sequel of Jaws. The production of Jaws 2 faced innumerable trouble. The first director of the film named John D Hancock was replaced by Szwarc.
Plot of Jaws 2:
The film begins with a scene, which shows two divers. They discovers the wreck of the Orca and are busy taking photographs. Suddenly they are attacked by a white shark and are killed. On receiving the report of the death of the two divers, Police Chief Martin Brody, played by Roy Scheider, orders Deputy Hendericks to investigate the matter. In the mean time, another water skier is attacked by the shark. But she is saved by the driver of the speed boat as he throws a gasoline tank at the shark. The shark is injured but he manages to survive.
Mike and Sean, the sons of Brody, plan to go for sailing with their friends. They head for the sea and cross a team of divers, which is led by Tom Andrews. The team returns to the shore because they have encountered a shark. Meanwhile two teens named Tina and Eddie reaches the middle of the sea and encounters the shark. Eddie is killed and Tina is left alone.

In the mean time, Hendricks informs Brody that their sons are sailing in the sea and they start searching for the teens. The shark appears before the teens and cause panic among them. Mike meets with an accident and becomes unconscious. He is almost eaten up by the shark, but his other two friends save him. They start for the shore to ask for help. A helicopter spots them but the shark attacks one of the boats before they could be saved. The pilot of the helicoptor gets drowned. Sean falls into the sea and is saved by Marge. But she could not save herself from the shark. Mike meets his father and tells that Sean is still near Cable Junction. Brody then takes a raft and entices the beast to bite an electric cable. The shark gets electrified and dies. Brody then heads for the wrecked sail boat and saves Sean and the other teenagers.

Jaws 2 was released on DVD in the year 2001. In addition to the film, it also included 45 minutes documentary by Laurent Bouzereau. The DVD also contained several deleted scenes.
