Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is the second movie in the series of Harry Potter films. Director Chris Columbus has invested loads of imagination and creativity in coming up with the brilliant sets of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. The slithering movements of the snake in the movie could be achieved with the help of fine animation technology.
The main theme of the movie Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is based on J.K. Rowling's novel of the same name. Like the Sorcerer's Stone, here too, Steven Kloves shouldered the responsibility of a screenplay writer. In this movie, the characters of Sorcerer's Stone reappear along with a whole lot of new characters. Magical creatures like goblins, elf and supernatural creatures are also seen in great number.

The movie begins amidst confusion and chaos. Nothing seems to be going right for the young wizard, until his friend Ron rescues him with a flying car. Richard Harris, who played the role of Dumbledore in Sorcerer's Stone, appears in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets for the last time. Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets will also be remembered for Jason Isaacs, who has played the role of Senior Malfoy in the movie.
On his way to Hogwarts both Harry and Ron encounter unexpected events which clearly foretell that Harry should not have resumed his study at the Hogwarts. Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets concentrate on the stringent rules upheld by one of the founders of Hogwarts. According to Salazar Slytherin, only those students who hail from a wizard family should get an admission in the Hogwarts.
Tension builds up within the premises of Hogwarts as the Chamber of Secrets gets opened. Although Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets deals with a world of mystery, magic and fantasy, the problems posed are typical to all societies. Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets - the Book and the Movie
Toby the elf, Voldemort in the disguise of a snake and the dangerous willow tree located in the middle of the forbidden forest have been brilliantly presented in the movie. Director Chris Columbus along with the animation experts left no stone unturned in recreating the magic world as is seen in the book.
However, some of the major scenes like the fight between Arthur Weasley and Lucius Malfoy and the scene of the Malfoys in Borgin and Burkes are not available in the movie version.
