Stuart Craig has been in charge of set designing for most of the Harry Potter movies. Harry's trial scene in the film has been conducted in the same set where Igor Karkaroff was tried in Goblet of Fire. The well designed quill which Harry uses to write lines with his own blood has also been created by the set designers while the indoor scenes of the movie have been shot at the Leavesden Studios. King's cross station was chosen to be the venue for the Platform 9 ¾.
Most of the outdoor sequences involved landmarks across England and the city of London. The Hall of Prophecies was digitally built with the help of latest technology and computers. During the shooting of the Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, was built the most expensive set for a Potter movie. The atrium at the Ministry of Magic is as high as 200 feet.
