Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire made a business of US $102 million in the North American territory. The thrilling storyline of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire earned huge revenue for the movie in other box offices across the world. Director Mike Newell took utmost care to recreate the magic world as is found in the book Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. The cast of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire remains as usual and no major changes were introduced in the movie. The Triwizard Tournament plays an important part in the plot construction of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire- the Book and the Movie
The movie version of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire had to compress most of the scenes in order to confine the entire plot into a movie. Detailed description of many of the events was often done away with. Moreover, in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire one does not see as many lessons as one finds in the book.
Except for the lesson on Unforgivable curses most of the other classes taken up by Harry have not found a place in the movie.
Moreover, the game of Quidditch World cup was also removed to save time for Harry's other journeys in the movie. The Society for the promotion of Elfish Welfare finds no mention in the movie. The Durseleys too find no mention as Harry is not seen in the private drive even for once in the entire movie. The scene of three death eaters are clubbed into a single brisk scene and messages of Sirius Black are received by Harry in a far condensed form, by the fireside.

| Use of Sound and Music at Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
The typical plot of the Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire ask for an appropriate music and sound effect. The music used during the various stages of the Triwizard Tournaments is just perfect. The ball dance where the three schools participate is brilliantly presented. Patrick Doyle has been in charge of the sound production for the Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
The romantic episode of Harry meeting Cho Chang follows a soothing sound track. The theme of the sound track undergoes a commendable transition in the death scene of Cedric.
