Based on the children's novel written by Rudyard Kipling, Jungle Book has been adapted twice. In 1942 and 1967, two films of the same name were made with the same story. Jungle Book is an animated feature film, which was produced by Walt Disney. He died during the production of the movie in the year 1967. The film is based on the stories of the feral child Mowgli. Classic songs like “The Bare Necessities” and “I wanna be like you” are a part of this movie. It has also won the Academy Award.
Some of the important characters of Jungle Book include Mowgli, Baloo, Bagheera, Shere Khan, Kaa, King Louie, Colonel Hathi, Buzzie, Ziggy, Dizzy and Flaps, Rama as well as Akela. The plot of Jungle Book is structured in such a way that it is still a favorite among the children. The story revolves in the jungles of India. Mowgli is the main character of the story who is found in a basket in the jungles. Nothing about the parents of Mowgli is mentioned.
Bagheera, one of the characters of the Jungle Book, first finds Mowgli in the jungle.
He is a panther who finally takes him to the mother wolf who just had cubs. The mother wolf decides to bring him up with other kids. As Mowgli grows up with time, he is face to face with two of his enemies, Shere Khan, a man-eating tiger and Kaa, an Indian python. Bagheera saves him when Shere Khan attacks him. When Kaa attacks him, he is saved mysteriously. Mowgli also has to encounter King Louie, the orangutan.
The story of Jungle Book ends in a nice way when Mowgli visits a man village and his mind changes after he sees a girl. The girl had come down to fetch water from the river. He helps her in fetching water and follows her to the village. He starts staying there and Baloo and Bagheera, two of his friends return back to the jungle.

Animated characters shown in Jungle Book have attracted the attention of the kids. It was made in such a way that children would love to see this movie time and again. Nature is also depicted in an excellent way. Some of the characters were introduced in the movie for the sake of expansion. One of this is King Louie, the king of monkeys. Other than this, the vultures were also introduced in the movie.
