Honey I Blew Up the Kids

Honey, I Blew Up the Kids is Walt Disney Pictures movie, which was released in the year 1992. This movie is a sequel to Honey, I Shrunk the Kids that was released in 1989. Some of the popular actors who were a part of Honey, I Blew Up the Kids includes Rick Moranis, Marcia Strassman, Robert Oliveri, Daniel Shalikar, Joshua Shalikar, Lloyd Bridges, John Shea, Keri Russell, Ron Canada, Amy O'Neill, Michael Milhoan, Gregory Sierra and Leslie Neale.

Honey I Blew Up the Kids was followed by one last sequel in the year 1997. This sequel was a direct-to-video movie known as Honey, We Shrunk Ourselves. Later on a TV serial was also made which was also called “Honey, I Shrunk the Kids”.

The plot of “Honey, I Blew Up the Kids” is as interesting as Honey, I Shrunk the Kids. Wayne Szalinzki, the inventor is a father of three children. The story starts with Amy and her mother leaving for college. Amy is the daughter of Szalinzki. Nick and Adam are left alone with their father. Wayne is trying to invent an enlarging machine. His boss Dr. Hendrickson is snobby and does not allow Wayne to access the lab.

Wayne sneaks into the lab without permission with Nick and Adam. In order to test the machine that Wayne has created, Adam's small stuffed rabbit is used. Adam tries to get back his rabbit when no one looks and from there the story takes a turn. Wayne and Nick cause a power surge accidentally. Adam and the rabbit are zapped with the rays of the machine. Adam grows to a height of a man and more.

The end of Honey, I Blew Up the Kids is also interesting. Dr. Hendrickson tries to kill Adam with the help pf a tranquilizer cartridge. The cartridge hits the guitar, which Adam has in his hand. This gives Adam slight electric shock and he is reduced to the normal size. He speaks to Mandy, his beloved. The story ends with Adam playing with his hundred foot tall rabbit who was not reduced to normal size.



As a sequel to Honey, I Shrunk the Kids, Honey, I Blew Up the Kids was quite successful. Kids as well as adults loved and enjoyed the movie. The animated characters were very popular with the kids. DVDs of the film were also released.
