The 2003 academy award winning computer-animated movie Finding Nemo was written by Andrew Stanton. The movie was directed by Stanton and Lee Unkrich and produced by Pixar Animation Studios and Walt Disney Pictures. The movie is also credited for starring the voices of Albert Brooks, Ellen DeGeneres and Alexander Gould. The plot of the movie Finding Nemo focuses on the story of clownfish Marlin and his search for his son Nemo. While in the process of searching for his son Marlin the clown fish learns to be less protective of his son.
From its first screening Finding Nemo grossed a huge amount of $864 million all over the world. The movie became the best selling of all time, with over 40 million copies DVDs sold as of 2006. The creation of the movie was dedicated to a Pixar animator Glenn Mc Queen who died of melanoma in October 2002.
In the plot of the Finding Nemo the clownfish Marlin, loses his wife, Coral and his all his children. He was only left with one unborn child. He had promised that he would never let anything happen to the remaining egg, which he had named “Nemo”. Nemo became a baby fish and after many years Nemo began his schooling. In the movie he was projected and embarrassed by his overprotective father who continuously warned young Nemo about the dangers of sea life. In the urge to show is father that there is nothing to be scared of, a scuba-diving dentist captured Nemo. From there began his father’s search for Nemo.
As the movie progresses the viewers are introduced with many other interesting characters like Darla, described as fish killer, Dory and others. The main characters of Finding Nemo include Marlin, Coral, Nemo and Dory. Apart from these famous characters the movie also incorporates several other important characters including Gill, Bloat, Gurgle, Peach, Deb, Jacques, Bubbles, Giggles and others.
Other minor characters include Barracuda, Bruce, Anchor, Chum, Blenny, Anglerfish, Moonfish, Jellyfish, Crush, Squirt,Whale, Nigel, Gerald, Seagulls, Crabs, Bob, Ted, Phil,

Finding Nemo grabbed several awards including the Academy Award and Saturn Award for Best Animated Film. It also received the award in the best Animated Film category at the Kansas City Film Critics Circle Awards. The Las Vegas Film Critics Society Awards, the National Board of Review Awards, the Online Film Critics Society Awards and the Toronto Film Critics Association Awards are also in its credit.
