Baby’s Day Out

Baby's Day Out is a comedy film especially made for children. Not only children but also adults and aged people love to watch this movie. Baby's Day Out was released in the year 1994. The film deals with a day in the child's life who is kidnapped in the city. The child goes through lot of adventures throughout the day. Baby's Day Out was written by John Hughes and was directed by Patrick Read Johnson.

Baby's Day Out is a story of a nine-month-old baby called "Bink". He is the only child of rich parents who lived in Chicago. A trio of dimwitted criminals who pose as photographers kidnaps the small boy for ransom. The story takes a turn when the baby manages to crawl away from his kidnappers. It goes about exploring the city. While doing this, he visits places, which he has already seen. He also visits those places, which he has seen in his picture book entitled Baby's Day Out. Though his kidnappers follow him to each location, they fail to get hold of him.

In Baby's Day Out, Joe Mantegna (Eddie), Joe Pantoliano (Norby), and Brian Haley (Veeko) played the role of the three kidnappers respectively. Lara Flynn Boyle plays the role of the mother and Cynthia Nixon plays the role of the nanny. Fred Thompson plays the role of a FBI agent. Eddie Bracken has a cameo role as the old war hero and he ultimately returns Bink to his parents.

The ending of Baby's Day Out is very interesting and funny. In the end, Veeko, one of the kidnappers falls into a dumpster. Norby, another kidnapper falls into a cement mixer whereas Eddie gets covered in mixture. He later finds himself dangling on a crane. They are later on arrested and Bink returns to his house where he gets his favorite book back.

The movie is very lively and is enjoyed by children even today. Baby's Day Out has been made from a child's perspective so it attracts the imagination of any child who is watching this. The characters are introduced in a nice way, which is another, plus point of the movie. Lots of funny situations are present in the movie. Many people are of the opinion that the comic elements in the movie are very crude.
