In the course of events of X2: X-Men United, Magneto realizes that Stryker is against mutants and in order to save themselves from the military invasion, they must unite. All the mutants join forces in order to battle it out with Stryker. The mutants are able to show the President that humans and mutants must work together in order to stay peacefully. There are special effects and some of the combat scenes which are thrilling. The plot has loose ends that are dealt with in the third part.
