The Terminator was released in the year 1984. The film falls in the genre of Action/Sci Fi Movies. The film was directed by James Cameron. The film was written by Cameron himself along with Gale Anne Hurd. The music was for this movie was done by Brad Fiedel. The Terminator starred Arnold Schwarzenegger, Linda Hamilton and Michael Biehn.
The story of the film- The Terminator, is based on a cyborg. By cyborg, we mean a human being whose body has been taken over by electromechanical devices. In other words a cyborg is a cybernetic organism. By this we mean an organism which carries self regulating integration. This combines both artificial as well as natural systems. If you watch this movie, you would find that a cyborg has been used as a means to accomplish a deadly mission.
The deadly mission/ which the cyborg, has to accomplish, is that it has to kill a young lady by the name of Sarah Connor. For it is belied that her life is going to carry an immense significance in the years to come.
Sarah in turn has only one protector and this protector's name is Kyle Reese.
Interestingly, he has been sent in from the future to help Sarah. Sarah's life is under danger. For she is soon going to be mother of John Connor. It is believed that John Connor is the future leader of the human resistance.
On the other hand, Skynet, a computer system, which belongs to the future, fights a war against the human beings who have built it. Skynet almost tried to exterminate its builders. Therefore, it has now started targeting, the Connors. It has now resorted to the Terminator. Though it belongs to the future it sends, the Terminator, into past.

The Terminator is the cyborg and is indestructible. Its one and only mission, is to kill Sarah. Only one soldier is send back to protect the lady who is soon going to require help.
