Rambo: III released in the year 1988, was yet another action thriller brought to us from the filmmakers of Hollywood. As the title suggests -it was the third movie belonging to the Rambo series. The film Rambo: III had a good musical score and the credit for it, for some extent goes to Jerry Goldsmith.
Rambo: III has an action packed storyline. The film's protagonist- Rambo, played by one of the top actors of Hollywood - Sylvester Stallone is responsible to a great extent for the popularity of this movie. If you have watched the other movies, then you would know that John Rambo at once stage in his life served as a vet in the Vietnamese war. However, now, he is now being called upon by his former Vietnam superior, Colonel Samuel Trautman. This mission involves the helping of the Mujahedeen rebels who are making the best efforts to prevent the Soviet invasion of the country of Afghanistan. However, Rambo is not willing to involve himself with this mission.
However, when Trautman, himself ends up being captured, Rambo volunteers to help the Mujahedeen rebels. Rambo joins hands with them in trying to get Trautman, out of the clutches of Zaysen.
Directed by Peter MacDonald, the screenplay for this movie was done by Sylvester Stallone himself. The film brought in revenues from overseas too. It went on to get a place for itself in the Guinness World Records. This for being one of the most action packed films of the year of its release. Rambo: III is considered to be high on violence and fight sequences.
It is now wonder that Rambo: III is considered to be one of the major Action/Sci Fi Movies from Hollywood. The movie shows 70 explosions. It is this factor along with other factors that makes this movie, one of the greatest movies of Hollywood.

The film also offers you an opportunity to enjoy all the vacuous stunts carried out by Stallone. At the same time the film is an example of a science fiction film too. This film too is presented in the context of recent political happenings. It uses the backdrop of the current unrest which beset Afghanistan.
