Tom Cruise enacted the role of Ethan Hunt, an agent of the Impossible Missions Force (IMF). IMF is actually a fictitious spy agency of the United States. The film revolves around Ethan Hunt. Ethan retires from the IMF and decides to lead a peaceful life. He is called for a special mission by the IMF Operations Director. Though he declines the proposal in the beginning but decides to go for it as he finds out that Agent Lindsey Farris has been abducted in Berlin by Owen Davian. Ethan forms a team and sets off for a mission. Although the team rescues Agent Farris but she gets killed due to the explosion of a capsule that had been earlier implanted inside her head. Through a package send to Ethan by Agent Farris, he gets some clues. Thus the search for Davian begins.
Many thrilling incidents take place as the plot progresses. The action scenes are quite marvelous. Towards the end of the movie, Ethan finally encounters Davian.
