Kill Bill

Kill Bill is among the most talked about of recent Hollywood films, especially with regards to its innovative use of music, contents showing excessive violence and last but not the least, star-studded casting. The movie Kill Bill narrates a single story which is divided into two parts with five sub-divisions each. The nonlinear narrative technique makes it easier for the audience to follow the epic story. This article provides you with a review of Kill Bill and other Action/Sci Fi movies.

Both parts of Kill Bill were both critically acclaimed and commercially accepted. The release of the film became a much hyped issue as autumn 2003 approached. As the first volume covered good grounds for itself, the expectation of the fans increased by leaps and bound about the forthcoming sequel. In many ways Kill Bill reminded the audience of the action trends set by Japanese Samurai movies and Hong Kong martial art movies.

The plot of Kill Bill is extremely well crafted. The film is basically all about an epic revenge drama that involves actions taking place in breathtaking motion. When you watch the film, not for a single moment will you feel bored about the course of action.

The casting too is out of the top drawer, especially with Uma Thurman featuring as the bride herself, Beatrix Kiddo and Black Mamba. The character of Bill is impersonated by another eminent actor David Carradine. All other actors fit into their roles perfectly.

The releasing format of Kill Bill in two separate parts caused some speculation among the film critics and journalist. The fact that it was a kind of back-to-back release draws a clear line of distinction from the Star Wars series. it was mainly because of the length of the movie that Kill Bill was released in two separate volumes. But many critics have opined that it was purely a marketing strategy to release the same movie within a span of one year in two different parts.

The tale of revenge told in the film gave rise to much controversy. The point of conflict is very clear for Kill Bill. Some audience expected a more well-knit storyline whereas some looked closely into the stylistic aspects of filmmaking. There is not even an iota of doubt that Kill Bill surely fares well when it comes to depicting the popular culture and its association with pop music genres prior to the 1960s.
