Face Off was released in 27th June, in the year 1997. It was directed by John Woo. This film is considered to be one of the most successful American film. This film made a lot of business and it was also highly praised by the critics. This film portrays heroic bloodshed in the action sequences along with exemplifying gun fu. ( a style of gun play). The works of Cage and Travolta in portraying two personalities were appreacited to a great extent by the mass as well as by the critics. This movie did a business of 245 million Dollars, thus making it one of the financially successful films of the year 1997.
If you want to know about the story of Face Off, just have a look at the following lines. Sean Archer is a tough and rugged FBI Agent, who has lost his son. He just cannot overcome this grief. He believes that his son has been killed by his enemy, Castor Troy, a powerful criminal. One fine day, Archer manages to corner Castor and a fight takes place. Archer wins, and Castor loses his consciousness and goes into coma. Before Castor loses his senses, he tells Archer that he has already placed a bomb in an area in Los Angeles. This bomb is so powerful that it can destroy the city of Los Angeles and kill all the people. He also comes to know that another person who is aware of the location of the bomb is Pollux, the brother of Castor. Archer tries to talk to Pollux, but Pollux is not just interested to talk to Archer.
The only solution left for Archer is to undergo a cosmetic surgery in order to look like Castor, so that he can get into Castor's organization.

The surgery is carried out on Castor. However, when he is about to succeed in his mission, Castor regains his consciousness. Castor wants to take revenge on Archer, as Archer has taken the help of Castor's face to succeed in his mission. Castor is determined to ruin not only Archer's mission but also Archer's personal life. Once again, Archer has to stop Castor from destroying his personal life. Towards the end of the movie, a fight takes place between Archer and Castor and in this fight Castor gets killed by Archer. Archer's wife succeeds in convincing FBI about the true identity of Archer. At the end, Archer adopts the son of Castor and promises Sasha, wife of Castor, that this child will not be a terrorist when he will grow up.
