Dr. No, the 1962 release falls in the genre of spy films. It is first in the series of the James Bond films. Incidentally, Dr. No happens to be the first film, where actor Sean Connery played the role of the British Secret Service agent- James Bond. The film was directed by Terence Young. The person responsible for brilliant cinematography is Ted Moore. The film is based on a novel by the same name. The novel written by the famous author, Ian Fleming was published in the year 1958.
It was the success of this movie that led to the release of other James Bond movies. This film established James Bond as a cult figure. The music for Dr. No was scored by Monty Norman. The opening song is based on the famous nursery rhyme-''Three Blind Mice".
In this particular film his exciting mission comprises- solving the mysterious murder associated with a fellow agent of Janes Bond The task compels James Bond to travel to Jamaica.
It is here that he joins the force with Quarrel. This role was played by Kitzmiller. He also joins hands with a loyal CIA agent- Felix Lieter. However, his arrival is not welcomed by anyone. While Bond is on is mission, he comes across a scientist, whose name is Dr. No.
Dr No as it were turns out to be a fanatical scientist. He is implementing an evil plan. This being the ambition to dominate the world. It is left to James Bond to encounter and handle this evil man. It is only Bond who can save humanity from this evil man, who has devised evil plans to destroy this world. James Bond will now have use hiss skills and techniques to succeed in his mission. The rest is left for you to catch up as a viewer.
