Die Another Day : Plot
Die Another Day begins with a chase followed by hovercraft. The action is set in a minefield in a disarmed area that separates North Korea and South Korea. Bond travels across China, Cuba and London and Iceland for his mission. When Bond travels to Cuba to trace the criminal Zao, he meets NSA agent Zinx, who assists him to find Zao. Unfortunately he escapes leaving behind a pendant made of diamonds. Brosnan tracks down Graves who has created the diamond satellite and come sto learn that Frost is Zao's agent. Bond kills Zao, exposes Grave's plan to invade South Korea and Japan. In the end in an adventurous encounter inside a plane Bond kills Grave and Frost and both Jinx and Bond escapes in a helicopter leaving the plane which was on auto pilot.
Die Another Day : Cast
Die Another Day has an impressive star cast. Lead being played by Pierce Brosnan, is assisted in his mission by the gorgeous Halle Berry as Giacinta 'Jinx' Johnson who specially comes to observe Zao and his tie-ups with Gustav Graves. Gustav Graves is played by Toby Stephens who is a businessman based in Britain and he creates a diamond satellite designed to bestow sunlight at night. Graves is supported by Zao the diamond smuggler played by Rick Yune.
Rosamund Pike is Miranda Frost who has a double identity, North Korean army colonel played by Will Yun Lee, his father played by Kenneth Tsang.
Die Another Day : After Release
Die Another Day was a landmark among the Hollywood spy movies earning a total of $432 million globally. Till Casino Royale, was released this was the highest grossser as far as James Bond movies are concerned. There was a controversy in the eastern parts of Asia mainly North Korea which banned the film's depiction of their state as a violent state. Religious controversies were also not at bay, as a lovemaking scene near the statue of a Buddha created uproars in the Buddhist circle.
