Daniel Jacob Radcliffe is better known as Daniel Radcliffe. He is one of the most famous actors in Hollywood. Apart from acting in the Hollywood pictures, he worked in several television programs. Daniel Radcliffe was born on 23rd July in the year 1989. He has already performed in five films based on the Harry Potter book series of J.K Rowling. He will also play the role of Harry Potter in the final two movies of the Harry Potter series.
Born in London, Daniel Radcliffe is the only child of his parents, Marcia Gresham and Alan Radcliffe. His mother Marcia Gresham served as a casting agent in numerous movies for BBC. His talent as an actor is an inborn talent. Daniel Radcliffe revealed his wish to act at the age of five.
In December 1999, Radcliffe made his debut as an actor in the BBC made “David Copperfield”. He played the role of David in this film which based on Charles Dickens’s novel with the same name.
In the year 2000, David Heyman, the producer of Harry potter asked Daniel Radcliffe to come to audition for Harry Potter’s role. After a series of auditions, Radcliffe was chosen for the role of Harry Potter. J.K Rowling, the creator of Harry Potter, also approved for Radcliffe’s selection as Harry.
Thus “Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone” was made with Daniel Radcliffe in the leading role. This same film was released with the title “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone” in United States of America. Apart from this film, Radcliffe acted in another film called “The Tailor of Panama” in the same year.
The other four Harry Potter films in which Radcliffe appeared in the role of the hero include “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets”, “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire “, “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix “ and “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban”. |

“ Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets” was released in the year 2002, while the film “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix” was released in the year 2007. Daniel Radcliff as an actor is now getting prepared for the Broadway production of Equus, an upcoming debut.
