Early life and career
Born in Ohio's Nelsonville, her parents were Steven Parker and Barbara. As her parents broke off, she started living with her mother and step father, Paul Forste. At a very young age, she showed her talent in ballet and singing. She was given a role to play in The Innocents, a Broadway production. When her family moved to New Jersey, she attended Dwight Morrow High School. Sarah Jessica Parker got admission in the School of American Ballet, the School for Creative and Performing Arts and the Professional Children's School. She also appeared in a revivification of The Sound of Music. In the year 1982, she made her appearance in CBS-TV sitcom Square Pegs. Though the show was discontinued after just one season, her performance was very well appreciated.
In the next three years, she appeared in films like Footloose (1984), Girls Just Wanna Have Fun (1985), etc. She also started dating Robert Downey Jr, as she met him on the set of Firstborn. They were romantically involved till the year 1991. In the year 1986, Sarah Jessica Parker appeared in Flight of the Navigator, a science fiction film by Disney that was considered as a cult classic.
