Born on the 21st of November, 1945 to parents Edward Rutledge Hawn and Laura Steinhoff, Goldie Hawn began to show her talents at the tender age of three. She took dance lessons as well enacted and sang choruses for various theatrical shows.
Personal Life of Goldie Hawn

It was during the days of stardom in the late 1960s, she married Gus Trikonis but the marriage lasted only five years. This was followed by her second marriage to Bill Hudson, with whom she had two children but divorced in the early 1980s. Soon after, she got romantically involved with co-actor Kurt Russell and gave birth to their son. Although she was raised in the Jewish traditions, she later converted into Buddhism and imparted the traditions and teachings of both the religions to her children.

The Career of Goldie Hawn


The initial days saw Hawn perform in various television shows, of which Rowan & Martin’s Laugh-In made her a well known name worldwide. Her movie debut came with The One and Only, Genuine, Original Family Band in 1968. However, it was the stunning performance in Cactus Flower that won her an Academy Award as the Best Supporting Actress in the year 1969. Ever since then, there was no looking back for Goldie Hawn, who continued to gift Hollywood with one successful film after another.

She starred in several comedy movies, murder mysteries as well as dramas and produced a hit in all the different genres. She conducted her own television specials as well and their success got special nominated for an Emmy Award. Although she did have her share of fall in Hollywood as an actor, each time she came back with a bang with movies like Foul Play, Lover’s and Liars, Swing Shift, Bird on a Wire, Something to Talk About and the Banger Sisters. Her unbelievable performance in the movie Private Benjamin got her nominated for a second Academy Award.
