Early Life of Sheryl Crow -
Born in Missouri’s Kennett in the United States on the 11th of February, Sheryl Crow studied at the Kenett High School. She joined Columbia’s University of Missouri and obtained her BA degree for ‘Music Composition, Performance and Education’. She involved herself with Cashmere, a local band.
Early career of Sheryl Crow -
Sheryl Crow was Kappa Alpha Theta member and also a Sigma Alpha Iota member. She was involved here in teaching music at an elementary school at Fenton’s Garlin Kellison. She used to teach during daytime and sang during the weekends in bands. She met Jay Oliver, a local producer and musician. Crow sang her first jingle for Famous-Barr, a departmental store in St. Louis. Other jingles sang by her were the commercial ones for Toyota and McDonald’s.
Sheryl Crow also joined the BAD world tour with Michael Jackson and performed with him for “I Just Can’t Stop Loving You”. Her first album in 1992 with Hugh Padgham, a producer of Phil Collins, was a big hit. The Tuesday Night Music Club is one of the bestselling albums of Sheryl Crow. |

For this album Crow received three awards at the 1994 Grammy Awards – Best Female Pop Vocal Performance(“All I Wanna Do”), Best New Artist and Record of the Year (“All I Wanna Do”).
Sheryl Crow as a solo artist –
In 1993 Sheryl Crow was introduced in the popular American magazine Rolling Stone in the section called “New Faces”. The most popular singles releases by Sheryl Crow include “Leaving Las Vegas” and “All I Wanna Do”. “Strong Enough” was listed in the music chart of Top Ten singles whereas “Can’t Cry Anymore” made to the Top 40 chart. A number of Grammy Awards was given out to Crow in 1994.
