Mya Marie Harrison was born in October 10, 1979. She was very talented and rose to fame during the late 1990s. Along with singing, she has also worked as a songwriter, actress, model, dancer and record producer. Professionally known as Mya, she acted in the films Chicago and Cursed.
Mya is better known for her singing than her other facets. She is considered to be an R&B and pop artist. Her most significant and commercially successful works include ‘It’s All About Me’, ‘The Best of Me’ and ‘Case of the Ex’. Mya is associated with big label names such as Interscope and Motown.

In May 2001, Mya went on a mission to remake LaBelle’s ‘Lady Marmalade’. In the video of this song she appears with three other famous artists, Christina Aguilera, Lil’ Kim and Pink. In this video there are many provocative dance sequences. It sold more than 5.5 million copies and is the most successful airplay-only singles in history. They actually won a Grammy’s Award for Best Pop Collaboration. Mya has been on more than 7 international tours.
