Britney Jean Spears was born in rural Louisiana (Kentwood) to Jamie Spears and Lynne Spears. Britney Spears loved gymnastics, dancing and was very passionate about singing.She appeared for The All New Mickey Mouse Club's auditions but she was rejected due to her age, as she was just 8. She got her first break from Jive Records, with them she recorded “Baby one more time”, which was an instant hit and made her a pop diva in a very short while.
"It won't be wrong to call her Pop Phenomenon", she took extensive training in dancing, singing and with her sheer determination and madness, she quickly scaled heights. She also appeared in some controversial videos where she wore a Catholic schoolgirl uniform, in which she bared her midriff, it soon became her symbol. In mid-2002, Forbes declared her the “World's most powerful celebrity”, world labeled her as the Pop princess, and soon Britney Spears became a household name.
When she was just 19, Britney spears came to the ranks of pop stars like Christina Aguilera and Justin Timberlake, and from then on she never looked back.
Britney and controversies always went hand in hand. Her video in which she appeared with a giant snake, herself being scantily clad, caused a huge upset in the community of animal supporters.
She also came in news when she kissed Madonna in MTV Video Music Awards.
Her personal life resembles a roller-coaster ride, her four year relationship with NSYNC's Justin Timberlake ended suddenly and after that she herself declared that she is going to take a off for six months, as she has achieved so much at such a young age. Her parents got divorced, she broke up with Timberlake, her crown of pop princess started to slip when she admitted that she lost her virginity to Justin Timberlake, she started smoking and drinking excessively, hence she became emotionally vulnerable.
