Timothy William Burton, who is one of the well known directors in Hollywood, is better known as Tim Burton. Tim Burton was born in California on 25th August, 1958. Several acclaimed Hollywood films have been directed by this man. His high-profile movies are characterized by a dark atmosphere. As a director, he not only won the Academy Award but also many other prestigious awards. He is also an excellent writer. People also know him as a designer.
Two of the Batman movies including “Batman Returns” and “Batman” have been directed by Tim Burton. “Batman” was released in 1989, while “Batman returns” came out in the year 1992. Burton also worked in collaboration with the great actor Johnny Depp in the movies like “Ed Wood”, “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory”, “Corpse Bride”, “Edward Scissorhands”, and “sleepy Hollow”.
Apart from this, Johnny Depp also performed as an actor in the Tim Burton film called “Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street’. This film was released in the year of 2007. In his childhood days, Burton was influenced by the stop motion films of Ray Harryhausen. It is the movies of Vincent Price that influenced the upcoming career of director Tim Burton. After school, Tim Burton received a Disney scholarship which aided him in attending the California Institute of the Arts situated at Valencia in California. From here, Burton did a three year course on Character animation.
In the initial years of his professional life, Tim Burton performed the job of a cell printer on the famous film “The Lord of the Rings”. After this, Burton worked as an animator apprentice in the Walt Disney studio.
