John Moore is not only one of the best Hollywood directors but also a reputed writer and film producer. This great writer, director and film producer was born at Dundalk in Ireland in 1970. In the initial stage of his professional career, John Moore used to direct commercials. But in later times, he moved to the making of commercial movies. It is during this time that he made Behind Enemy Lines, the US $40 million movie that went on to become a huge draw.
It is in the year of 2006 that John Moore directed a film called The Omen which was a remake of a Richard Donner film. This film received mixed reviews and even criticism. After this, he went on for technical studies in a college at Dublin. It is in course of his stint at this college that John came to learn the basics of the art of film making This period proved very productive for him as he was able to sharpen his skills in the domain of film making.
John Moore has been greatly influenced by Richard Donner. Superman by Donner inspired him in a big way and with his own ventures, he has tried creating films which do have a charm and appeal of their own. In fact, in one of the interviews Moore has spoken of his desire to pay a homage to the art of making movies in the Donner way and The Omen was his tribute to Donner, as John Moore claims.
