Andrew Christopher Stanton Jr. was born on the 13th of January, 1958 in the city of Rockport in Massachusetts. Andrew Stanton had a keen interest in animation and related activities from a very tender age. Thus it came as no surprise to those who knew him when he enrolled for a BFA course in character animation. He completed the course from the California Institute of Arts.
On completion of the BFA course in character animation, Andrew Stanton began to work with Kroyer Films. Towards the end of the 1980s, Andrew was involved in the making of movies like the Mighty Mouse and the New Adventures, in the capacity of a writer. It was in the 1990s that Andrew Stanton joined hands with Pixar Studios. A turnaround in the fortunes of Andrew occurred when he joined Pixar Studio where he would eventually direct a few of the popular animated movies.
Rise of popularity
The association of Andrew Stanton with Pixar Studios was mutually beneficial and led to the creation of some of the top animation movies in Hollywood. The first major hit to come out of the Pixar Studio stable, in association with Stanton, was the movie Toy Story. But it was for the animated movie, 'A Bug's Life', for which he took on the director's mantle. He co-directed the movie with Pixar Studio's Lasseter.
